Tapology introduces opponent quality rankings for UFC fighters

The MMA database website Tapology has introduced a new feature that calculates and displays an "opposition level" score for UFC fighters. The metric uses a proprietary formula to generate scores ranging from 1 to 99, based on a fighter's last six UFC bouts only, excluding fights in other organizations. For UFC 328, the top five scores belong to Sean Strickland (74), Hamzat Chimaev (69), Alexander Volkov (67), Joaquin Buckley (55), and Sean Brady (54). The lowest scores on the card are held by Baisangur Susurkayev (4), Ozzy Diaz (4), Jorgen Santos (6), Yaroslav Amosov (7), and Ateba Gautier (7). The new system provides fans with a quantitative measure of the quality of opposition each fighter has faced recently.
