Tapology has added a new feature to UFC fighter profiles that calculates and displays opponent quality level on a scale from 1 to 99. The metric is based on a specific formula available on the site and considers only a fighter's last six UFC bouts, excluding fights in other organizations. In the UFC 328 card, Sean Strickland leads with the highest opponent quality score of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. At the lower end, Baisangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz both have scores of 4. The new metric provides fans with a quantitative measure of the level of competition fighters have recently faced.
Tapology has rolled out a new opponent quality metric for UFC fighter profiles, assigning each fighter a score between 1 and 99 based on the caliber of competition they have recently faced. The feature launched ahead of UFC 328, scheduled for May 9, 2026, and uses a proprietary formula published on the site. Crucially, only a fighter's last six UFC bouts are counted, meaning results from other promotions are excluded from the calculation.

Among the fighters on the UFC 328 card, Sean Strickland leads the field with an opponent quality score of 74. The 35-year-old middleweight champion from the United States carries a 31-7-0 record and fights out of Xtreme Couture. Standing six-foot-one with a 76-inch reach, Strickland is one of the most active strikers in the division, landing 6.04 significant strikes per minute at 42 percent accuracy.

Khamzat Chimaev checks in second on the card at 69, followed closely by Alexander Volkov at 67. Volkov, a 37-year-old Russian heavyweight ranked first in his division, holds a remarkable 40-11-0 professional record. The six-foot-seven southpaw known as Drago lands 4.78 significant strikes per minute at an efficient 57 percent accuracy, giving him one of the sharper striking profiles in the heavyweight division.

At the opposite end of the scale, Baisangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz each posted scores of 4, reflecting far less decorated recent opposition.

Why it matters
- The metric offers fans a quick, data-driven way to compare how difficult each fighter's recent UFC schedule has been.
- Scores are limited to the last six UFC bouts, so lengthy careers in other organizations do not inflate or deflate a fighter's number.
- Divisional rankings and championship status alone do not capture schedule strength, making this a complementary tool for evaluating fighter resumes ahead of UFC 328.
