Tapology has introduced a new feature displaying opposition level ratings for UFC fighters, calculated on a scale from 1 to 99. The metric considers only a fighter's last six UFC bouts, excluding fights in other organizations. For UFC 328, Sean Strickland leads with a rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69, and Alexander Volkov at 67. Joaquin Buckley and Sean Brady round out the top five with ratings of 55 and 54 respectively. The lowest ratings on the card belong to Baysangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz, both at 4.
Tapology has rolled out a new opposition level metric for UFC fighters, assigning each competitor a rating between 1 and 99 based on the quality of opponents faced across their last six bouts inside the UFC. The feature launched ahead of UFC 328, scheduled for May 9, 2026, and excludes fights from other promotions when calculating scores.

Topping the ratings for UFC 328 is middleweight champion Sean Strickland with a score of 74. The 35-year-old American, who trains out of Xtreme Couture and carries a record of 31-7-0, has built that mark through a relentless offensive output of 6.04 significant strikes landed per minute. Standing six-foot-one with a 76-inch reach, Strickland operates out of an orthodox stance and has consistently sought out high-profile competition at 185 pounds.

Khamzat Chimaev sits second on the card with a rating of 69, followed by heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov at 67. Volkov, a 37-year-old Russian fighting out of Strela Team, holds a 40-11-0 record and is ranked first in the heavyweight division. The six-foot-seven heavyweight boasts an 80-inch reach and lands strikes at 57 percent accuracy, the highest striking efficiency among the verified fighters on this card.

Rounding out the top five are welterweight Sean Brady at 54 and Joaquin Buckley at 55. Brady, ranked seventh at welterweight with a 19-2-0 record, trains at Renzo Gracie Philly and is particularly dangerous on the mat, averaging 3.53 takedowns per 15 minutes alongside a striking accuracy of 55 percent.

At the other end of the scale, Baysangur Susurkaev and Ozzie Diaz both scored a 4, reflecting limited UFC opposition to date.

Why it matters
- The metric offers a standardized way to compare résumé strength across different weight classes and career stages.
- Strickland's score of 74 underscores why the middleweight champion is considered one of the most battle-tested fighters on the roster.
- Low scores for newer fighters like Susurkaev and Diaz highlight how the rating evolves as UFC experience accumulates.
