UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States, despite political challenges. He cited examples such as restaurants in the US only recently adopting portable payment terminals, a technology Poland had implemented a decade earlier. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality, recounting being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry had he not brought his own food, contrasting this with Polish generosity. He described American social interactions as superficial, noting people are unprepared for genuine responses to casual greetings. While acknowledging the US offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that life quality is not necessarily better there, and even his children prefer returning to Poland.
