UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his view that Poland surpasses the United States in cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and certain aspects of modernization despite political issues at home. Gamrot cited examples like portable payment terminals being common in Poland a decade before widespread US adoption, and criticized American hospitality after being invited to barbecues where he had to bring his own food. He described American social interactions as superficial, noting the scripted nature of casual greetings. While acknowledging the US offers advantages for sports careers, Gamrot argued that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, and noted his children preferred visiting their grandmother in Poland over Florida beaches.
