Mateusz Gamrot stated in a podcast interview that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The UFC lightweight contender criticized American hospitality, noting he was invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. Gamrot also highlighted Poland's technological advancement, pointing out that portable payment terminals arrived in the US years after they became standard in Poland. He described American social interactions as superficial and noted that his children prefer visiting their grandmother in Poland over beaches in Florida. While acknowledging the US offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better there.
