Jim Miller secured his 28th UFC victory by submitting Jared Gordon with a guillotine choke in the first round at UFC 328, marking his 14th submission in the promotion and his fifth guillotine finish. The 42-year-old veteran is now just two fights away from reaching 50 UFC appearances, an all-time record. Miller holds the UFC record for most wins (28) and is second in both total finishes (20, behind Charles Oliveira's 21) and submissions (14, behind Oliveira's 17). Early in his UFC career, Miller started 9-1 and was close to a title shot, but contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite, which caused him to lose physical conditioning and change his body composition before eventually recovering.
