Baysangur Susurkayev broke his hand early in the second round of his fight but continued to compete despite the injury. Despite the fracture, Susurkayev continued attempting to knock out his opponent and even threw strikes with the broken hand. According to reports, the injury occurred within the first two minutes of the second round. The fighter ultimately was submitted, but demonstrated exceptional toughness by continuing to fight through significant injury. His willingness to continue fighting with a broken hand drew praise for his warrior mentality.
