Alexander Volkov defeats Waldo Cortes-Acosta by unanimous decision at UFC 328

Alexander Volkov won a unanimous decision over Waldo Cortes-Acosta with scorecards of 30-27, 29-28, and 29-28 at UFC 328. The New Jersey crowd booed the decision, apparently favoring Acosta's aggressive callouts to fight in the center. Volkov appeared to win the first two rounds clearly. In his post-fight interview, he carried the Russian flag and told the booing crowd it was an honor to fight on May 9, Victory Day in Russia. Volkov called for a title shot, stating he is the number one contender and willing to face Tom Aspinall, Ciryl Gane, or Alex Pereira.
