Alexander Volkov defeats Acosta by unanimous decision at UFC 328

Alexander Volkov won by unanimous decision over Waldo Cortes-Acosta with scores of 30-27, 29-28, and 29-28. The New Jersey crowd booed the decision, apparently favoring Acosta who repeatedly gestured to the center calling for exchanges. The author scored the first two rounds for Volkov but expected a more dominant performance from the Russian. Volkov carried a Russian flag during his octagon interview and told the booing crowd it was an honor to fight on May 9th. He called for a title fight against any of Tom Aspinall, Ciryl Gane, or Alex Pereira.
