The 23-year-old Dagestani fighter from Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov's school secured the finish after taking the back control from standing. All seven of Amirzhanov's victories have been finishes, with six coming by submission including guillotines, arm-in chokes, ninja chokes, and rear-naked chokes. He competes in the bantamweight division and has a Muay Thai base, being the son of kickboxing and Muay Thai coach Anvarbek Amirzhanov.
