Undefeated Azerbaijani middleweight Farman Khasanov will step onto the UFC stage for the first time when he faces Erik Nolan at UFC Baku on June 27 in a 185-pound contest.

Khasanov enters the bout with a perfect 5-0 professional record, having built his résumé largely in the LFA, where he collected three wins. The 30-year-old is set to become the fourth active Azerbaijani fighter on the UFC roster, adding further local significance to an event held on home soil.

Nolan arrives on the opposite end of the momentum spectrum. The American made his own UFC debut on short notice in November, stepping in to face Baysangur Susurkaev on limited preparation and suffering a loss in that assignment. He now carries a 0-1 mark inside the promotion and will look to rebound against a fellow newcomer.

Why it matters

  • Khasanov's debut carries home-crowd weight as UFC Baku spotlights Azerbaijani talent on a national stage
  • A perfect professional record against Nolan's short-notice loss sets up a clear contrast in momentum heading into the bout
  • The middleweight division at 185 pounds is among the UFC's most competitive, making early wins critical for either man's trajectory on the roster
