Chimaev team requests October Abu Dhabi rematch with Strickland

Vadim Tikhomirov conducted an interview with Khamzat Chimaev's older brother Said, who explained the circumstances behind Khamzat's poor performance against Strickland. Said revealed that when the fight was announced in March, Khamzat weighed 105 kg expecting to fight Prochazka at light heavyweight, and still weighed 97 kg two weeks before UFC 328. During the final stages of the weight cut, when only 1.2 kg remained, Khamzat's body shut down before he eventually made weight after an hour break. After the weigh-in, Chimaev only regained 5-6 kg before the fight. The team has now officially requested a rematch with Strickland at middleweight, targeting October in Abu Dhabi.
