Khamzat Chimaev struggled with weight cut before Strickland loss

Khamzat Chimaev's brother revealed that Chimaev experienced severe difficulties during his weight cut for UFC 328. With 1.2 kg remaining to lose, Chimaev's body shut down and doctors were called. After a break, the team decided to continue cutting weight and successfully made it to 84 kg, though his brother believes the fight should have been canceled. Chimaev weighed 105 kg when the fight was announced in March, as he had been preparing for a light heavyweight bout with Jiri Prochazka. His brother stated that Chimaev has requested a rematch with Sean Strickland in the fall at an event in Abu Dhabi.
