Chimaev's brother reveals severe weight cut issues before Strickland fight

Hamzat Chimaev's brother disclosed that the fighter experienced serious problems during his weight cut for UFC 328. With 1.2 kg remaining to lose, Chimaev's body failed and medical assistance was required. Despite this, the team decided to continue cutting weight, though the brother believes the fight should have been canceled. Chimaev started the camp at 105 kg expecting to fight Jiri Prochazka at light heavyweight, but accepted the Strickland middleweight bout on short notice. The team has requested a rematch with Strickland in October at an Abu Dhabi event.
