18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian combat sambo title, trains with Goltsov

Demid Volkov claimed the Russian combat sambo championship in the 88kg division at age 18, becoming one of the youngest champions in the discipline's history. The St. Petersburg prospect trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars regularly with Denis Goltsov, Evgeny Mohnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov. Volkov also won the junior MMA national championship at 93kg, defeating Platon Lebedev via clinch work and takedowns.
