18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian Combat Sambo and MMA titles

Demid Volkov became Russian Combat Sambo champion in the 88kg division in March at age 18, and has now won the junior MMA championship in the 93kg category. The St. Petersburg fighter trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Moknatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov. In the MMA final, Volkov defeated 17-year-old Platon Lebedev via clinch work, throws, and ground control.
