18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian Combat Sambo Championship

Demid Volkov became the Russian Combat Sambo champion in the 88 kg division at age 18 in March. The St. Petersburg fighter trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Sergey Mokhnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov. Volkov recently won the junior MMA championship in the 93 kg category, defeating 17-year-old Platon Lebedev in the final.
