18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian Combat Sambo Championship at 88kg

Demid Volkov became the Russian Combat Sambo champion in the men's 88kg division in March at 18 years old. The St. Petersburg native trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Sergei Mokhnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov. Volkov also won the junior MMA championship at 93kg, defeating 17-year-old Platon Lebedev in the final with throws and ground control.
