18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian Combat Sambo Championship

Demid Volkov became the Russian Combat Sambo champion in the 88 kg category in March at just 18 years old. The St. Petersburg native also won the junior MMA championship in the 93 kg category, defeating Platon Lebedev in the final. Volkov trains with Denis Goltsov's team under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Goltsov, Mokhnatkin, and Khadis Ibragimov.
