18-year-old Demid Volkov wins Russian combat sambo championship at 88 kg

Demid Volkov became the Russian combat sambo champion in the men's 88 kg category at age 18. The St. Petersburg native trains under Alexander Korshunov and spars with Denis Goltsov, Makhachkala fighters, and Khadis Ibragimov. Volkov also captured the junior MMA championship in the 93 kg division, defeating 17-year-old Platon Lebedev in the final.
