Melquizael Costa moves up to lightweight after six-fight featherweight run

Melquizael Costa has announced he is moving up to the lightweight division, citing the physical toll of cutting 22 kilograms for each fight at featherweight. The Brazilian had previously competed at 155 pounds before his UFC debut and went on a six-fight winning streak at featherweight. Costa was one step outside the featherweight top ten at the time of his decision to move up.
