Vitor Belfort Nearly Became UFC's First Three-Division Champion in 2015

Vitor Belfort came close to becoming the first three-division UFC champion when he challenged Chris Weidman at UFC 187, even producing commemorative T-shirts predicting his victory. Belfort entered the fight having finished Anthony Johnson, Luke Rockhold, Michael Bisping, Dan Henderson, and Yoshihiro Akiyama in his previous five wins, but Weidman stopped him by knockout.
