Former Jackson Wink general manager Mikhail Lyubimov says Aaron Pico was so destructive in sparring that training partners routinely left the gym with broken ribs or orbital bone fractures and refused to return. Pico knocked sparring partners out cold and injured multiple teammates, including Steve Garcia on several occasions, eventually forcing the two to train separately. The destruction of available partners led Pico to travel to other gyms and spend extended periods training in Morocco, where he was provided world-class partners under royal patronage. Pico was also recently spotted training at Cub Swanson's gym in California, as finding sparring partners at Jackson Wink had become nearly impossible.
