Nickal, 30, carries a 9-1 record into the card and trains out of American Top Team Happy Valley. The southpaw stands six-foot-one with a 76-inch reach and has built a reputation as one of the division's most dangerous grapplers, averaging 3.1 takedowns and 2.5 submission attempts per 15 minutes. He also produces volume on the feet, landing 3.35 significant strikes per minute at a striking accuracy of 61 percent.

Daukaus, a fellow American competing out of Martinez BJJ, brings considerably more experience to the matchup with a 17-5 record. The 33-year-old southpaw has a slight height edge at six-foot-two and shares the same 76-inch reach as Nickal. He averages 3.32 significant strikes per minute and attempts 2.1 submissions per 15 minutes, making him a well-rounded threat across all phases.

Why it matters

  • Both fighters are middleweights, keeping the 185-pound division in focus heading into the event.
  • Nickal's elite wrestling credentials contrast with Daukaus's broader competitive experience, setting up an intriguing stylistic test.
  • A strong performance from either man could carry real weight in the middleweight rankings conversation.
