Topuria suffers fractures to both eye sockets and nose at UFC Freedom 250

Ilia Topuria sustained fractures to both orbital bones and his nose during his loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250. A close friend of Topuria, Pablo Motas, confirmed that Topuria was still unable to open his eyes properly the morning after the fight, though he has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home. Gaethje's upset victory has been widely called the upset of the year. The event itself was held at the White House and was preceded by a foiled drone attack plot that federal authorities disrupted four days before the card.
