Kape stops Horiguchi with one punch in round three to earn title shot

Manel Kape knocked out Kyoji Horiguchi in the third round after trailing on the scorecards, catching the Japanese veteran frozen for a half-second and landing a clean right hand. Horiguchi had controlled the first two rounds with his trademark speed and footwork, hurting Kape with a jumping left hook and mixing in takedowns, but overcommitted while trying to extend a combination and paid the price. The finish marked Kape's fourth consecutive knockout in the flyweight division and his fifth KO in the weight class overall — the most in UFC flyweight history.
