Shara Bullet has revealed he contracted dengue fever from a mosquito bite during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight with Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40°C fever, pustules, and hair loss. He flew to Abu Dhabi in a weakened state and still managed to win the bout. Immediately after the fight he underwent surgery and went nearly two days without sleep as his body remained locked in a hyper-alert state, followed by two weeks of breathing difficulties.
