Welterweight contender Ian Garry has signed with Matchroom Talent, the agency owned by Eddie Hearn. Hearn confirmed that Matchroom will not be involved in dealings with the UFC directly, as Garry has a separate team handling that side of his career. Garry remains under his current UFC contract and has a fight ahead of him. Hearn described the signing as non-confrontational and called Garry a potential superstar of the sport.
