Aspinall, 33, carries a 15-3 record and holds the UFC heavyweight title, currently ranked sixth in the pound-for-pound standings. The Wigan-born fighter out of Team Kaobon stands six-foot-five with a 78-inch reach and operates out of an orthodox stance. His statistical profile is exceptional for the heavyweight division, averaging 7.63 significant strikes landed per minute at a 67 percent accuracy rate, while also adding 2.62 takedowns per 15 minutes to his offensive arsenal.

Gane, known as Bon Gamin, enters as the division's second-ranked contender with a 14-2 record. The Frenchman, who trains out of MMA Factory, is 36 years old and stands six-foot-four with an 81-inch reach — the longest in this potential matchup. He averages 5.29 significant strikes per minute at 61 percent accuracy, making him one of the more technically refined strikers in the heavyweight landscape.

Why it matters

  • A title defense for Aspinall against the division's second-ranked contender would be one of the most significant heavyweight bouts in recent memory.
  • Gane's 81-inch reach advantage could present unique challenges for the champion despite Aspinall's superior output metrics.
  • With financial terms still to be agreed, the fight is not yet officially confirmed, though Hearn indicated talks are imminent.
