Shara Magomedov has revealed he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight against Marc-Andre Barriault last July. He spent roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree fever, developing pustules and experiencing hair loss, then flew directly to Abu Dhabi barely recovered. Despite his condition, Magomedov entered the cage and won the bout, only to end up on an operating table shortly afterward and spend two weeks unable to breathe properly.
