Shara Bullet has disclosed that he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand before his fight against Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40°C temperature, skin sores, and hair loss. He traveled to Abu Dhabi in a weakened state and managed to win the bout regardless. Immediately after the fight, he underwent surgery and then went nearly two days without sleep as his body remained locked in a heightened state of alertness.
