Magomedrasul Gasanov pulled from UFC bout over banned substance that lingers in bloodstream

Magomedrasul Gasanov was removed from his scheduled fight against Abubakar Vagaev after UFC flagged a substance found in his system. According to Ikram Aliskerov, Gasanov's sparring partner, the fighter provided documentation of all substances taken over the previous six months and tested clean, but UFC took issue with one compound that remains detectable in the bloodstream for an extended period. Aliskerov compared the situation to the mildronate cases that previously affected other fighters, including Islam Makhachev.
