Shara Bullet has disclosed that he contracted dengue fever during fight camp ahead of his bout with Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a temperature of 40°C, skin sores, and hair loss. He recovered sufficiently to travel to Abu Dhabi and win the fight, but immediately went into surgery afterward and spent two sleepless days post-operation. Bullet described the entire period as one of the hardest stretches of his career.
