Shara Bullet has revealed he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight with Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree temperature, skin sores, and hair loss. He recovered sufficiently to travel to Abu Dhabi and won the bout, but required surgery immediately afterward and went two days without sleep following the operation. Bullet described the entire period as one of the most difficult stretches of his career.
