Two new matchups have been confirmed for the ACBJJ 21 grappling card in Moscow, scheduled for July 5, with Zubairah Tukhugov and Mairbek Taisumov each set to compete in separate bouts at 80 kilograms.

Tukhugov, a veteran UFC featherweight, will square off against Elves Brener, the 28-year-old Brazilian out of Chute Boxe Diego Lima. Brener carries a professional MMA record of 16-6 and stands five-foot-ten with a 72-inch reach. In MMA competition he has averaged nearly four significant strikes per minute, though his striking accuracy sits at 47 percent, suggesting a high-volume, pressure-oriented approach he will now bring to a pure grappling format.

Taisumov, another long-tenured UFC lightweight, faces Gleison Tibau at the same weight class. Both men are seasoned veterans of the Octagon, and their pairing adds considerable MMA pedigree to the card.

The event also features a loaded supporting lineup that includes Zabit Magomedsharipov, Rinat Fakhretdinov, Raul Rosas, Yusuf Raisov, and two fighters whose verified stats round out the bill. Armen Petrosyan, the 35-year-old Armenian middleweight competing out of Academy MMA, owns a 9-5 record and an exceptional striking output of 5.84 significant strikes per minute in MMA — one of the higher volume rates in his division. Brendan Allen, ranked fifth at UFC middleweight, brings a 26-7 record to the event. The American southpaw out of Kill Cliff FC stands six-foot-two with a 75-inch reach and averages 1.1 submission attempts per 15 minutes, making him one of the more well-rounded grapplers on the card.

Why it matters

  • Tukhugov vs. Brener and Taisumov vs. Tibau add established UFC-level talent to an already deep Moscow card
  • Allen's divisional ranking of fifth at UFC middleweight raises the competitive profile of the grappling event significantly
  • The 80 kg weight class features multiple bouts, creating a de facto mini-tournament atmosphere at that limit
