UFC middleweight Shara Bullet has revealed he contracted dengue fever during his Thailand training camp ahead of his fight with Barrio, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a 40°C fever, skin sores, and hair loss. He flew to Abu Dhabi in a severely weakened state but still won the bout. Following the fight, he underwent emergency surgery and went two days without sleep as his body remained in an intensely heightened state before he could recover.
