UFC middleweight Shara Bullet has revealed that he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight against Barrío, spending roughly two weeks bedridden with a fever of 40°C, skin sores, and hair loss. He traveled to Abu Dhabi without training in the final days of camp, went on to win the bout, and then underwent emergency surgery immediately afterward. Bullet says he spent two sleepless days after the operation before his body finally recovered.
