Shara Bullet has disclosed that he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight with Barrios, spending approximately two weeks bedridden with a 40-degree temperature, pustules, and hair loss. He fought through a relapse of the illness and flew to Abu Dhabi in a weakened state before winning the bout. Immediately after the fight, Bullet underwent surgery and spent two sleepless days recovering, stating he could not breathe properly for two weeks post-operation.
