Shara Bullet has revealed he contracted dengue fever during a training camp in Thailand ahead of his fight against Barrió, spending two weeks bedridden with a 40°C fever, skin sores, and hair loss. He flew to Abu Dhabi in a weakened state and still managed to win the fight. Following the bout, he underwent emergency surgery and spent two days unable to sleep, describing his body as locked in a heightened fight-or-flight state. He also endured two weeks of breathing difficulties before fully recovering.
