AJ McKee headlined PFL San Diego on June 28 with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Salamat Isbulayev, sweeping all three judges' scorecards 30-27. The card also featured several notable performances, including a finish from veteran grappler Liz Carmouche.

Carmouche, known as "Girlrilla," submitted Viviane Araujo with a guillotine choke in the second round. The 42-year-old American, who trains out of The Arena, holds a 13-7-0 record and has long been recognized as one of the sport's most reliable grapplers. She averages 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes and connects on 54 percent of her significant strikes, a testament to her controlled, efficient style.

Araujo, nicknamed "Vivi," entered the bout ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division with a 13-7-0 record of her own. The 39-year-old Brazilian out of Cerrado MMA is an active striker, landing 3.84 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy, and also averages 1.72 takedowns per 15 minutes. The finish ends what had been a competitive rivalry between two experienced flyweights.

Alexander Shabliy also made a statement in his return from a lengthy layoff, outpointing Alfie Davis by unanimous decision. Elsewhere on the card, Hassan Magomedsharpov, Rob Wilkinson, Jena Bishop, Sarvadjon Khamidov, Shannon Clark, and Colby Fuhr all picked up wins.
