The most striking performance of the night may have belonged to Liz Carmouche, who submitted Viviane Araujo with a guillotine choke in the second round. Carmouche, known as "Girlrilla," is 42 years old and fights out of The Arena in the United States. She carries a 13-7-0 record and has built a reputation as one of the more technically complete fighters on the women's circuit, connecting on 54 percent of her significant strikes and averaging 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes. Araujo, 39, came in ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division and entered with an identical 13-7-0 record. The Brazilian out of Cerrado MMA lands 3.84 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy and has shown a well-rounded game throughout her career, but she could not escape Carmouche's clinch work on Saturday night.

Alexander Shabliy added another unanimous decision win to his ledger against Alfie Davis, while Rob Wilkinson stopped Abraham Bably by TKO in the second round. Hasan Magomedsharipov was perhaps the night's quickest finisher, submitting Joshua Weems with an arm-triangle choke in the opening round. Weems, 32, came in with an 11-3-0 record and had been a productive offensive fighter, averaging 5.25 significant strikes per minute at a 64 percent accuracy rate and 4.77 takedowns per 15 minutes out of Black Sails MMA. He could not overcome Magomedsharipov's submission threat in the early going.
