Hassan Magomedsharipov finished Joshua Weems with an arm-triangle choke in the first round, Rob Wilkinson stopped Abraham Bably by TKO in round two, and Sarvarjon Khamidov submitted Justin Wetzell with a rear-naked choke in round two.
PFL San Diego produced a night of sharp finishes and decisive scorecards on June 28, with AJ McKee, Liz Carmouche, and Hassan Magomedsharipov headlining a card that saw multiple bouts end before the final bell.

Carmouche, known as "Girlrilla," delivered one of the evening's standout performances, submitting Viviane Araujo with a guillotine choke in the second round. The 42-year-old American, who trains out of The Arena and carries a 13-7-0 record, has long been one of the most accomplished grapplers in women's MMA. She averages 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes and connects on 54 percent of her significant strikes, a combination that makes her dangerous on the feet and even more so once a fight hits the mat.

Araujo, nicknamed "Vivi," entered the bout ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division with a 13-7-0 record of her own. The 39-year-old Brazilian out of Cerrado MMA is an active striker, landing 3.84 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy, and also contributes on the wrestling side with 1.72 takedowns per 15 minutes. She was unable to keep the fight standing long enough to make those tools count.

Hassan Magomedsharipov also impressed, finishing Joshua Weems with an arm-triangle choke in round one. Weems, a 32-year-old from Black Sails MMA with an 11-3-0 record, is a high-volume striker who lands 5.25 significant strikes per minute at a remarkable 64 percent accuracy, but he logged zero submission attempts per 15 minutes heading into the bout, a vulnerability Magomedsharipov was quick to exploit.

Why it matters
- Carmouche's finish strengthens her position in the women's flyweight landscape at 42 years old, demonstrating she remains a genuine threat at the top of the division
- Magomedsharipov's first-round submission underlines his finishing ability against a fighter with legitimate striking credentials
- McKee's unanimous decision victory, sweeping all three judges 30-27, reinforces his standing as one of PFL's most reliable headliners
