PFL San Diego delivered a stacked card on June 28, with AJ McKee, Alexander Shabliy, Hasan Magomedsharipov, Liz Carmouche, and Rob Wilkinson all leaving with wins across a busy evening of action.

In the main event, McKee bested Salamat Isbulayev by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 30-27. Shabliy also went the distance against Alfie Davis, earning a unanimous decision of his own. Magomedsharipov did not need the judges, submitting Joshua Weems with an arm-triangle choke in the opening round. Weems, a 32-year-old American fighting out of Black Sails MMA, carried an 11-3 record into the contest and averaged an impressive 5.25 significant strikes landed per minute with 64 percent accuracy, but he had no submission attempts on his career ledger, and Magomedsharipov exploited that gap quickly.

Liz Carmouche earned one of the night's more notable finishes, sinking in a guillotine choke to submit Viviane Araujo in round two. Carmouche, 42, fights out of The Arena and holds a 13-7 record. She averages 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes and connects at a 54 percent striking accuracy rate, making her one of the more well-rounded veterans on the roster. Araujo, the Brazilian known as Vivi, entered at 13-7 and ranked eighth in the women's flyweight division. The 39-year-old had averaged 3.84 significant strikes per minute and 1.72 takedowns per 15 minutes in her career, but could not escape Carmouche's clinch work in the second frame.

Rob Wilkinson rounded out the notable finishes, stopping Abraham Bably by TKO in round two.

Why it matters

- Magomedsharipov's first-round arm-triangle finish underlines his grappling danger heading into the PFL playoff picture
- McKee's 30-27 sweep signals a dominant performance that will factor into featherweight standings
