Liz Carmouche, the 42-year-old American veteran fighting out of The Arena, collected a second-round guillotine choke submission over Viviane Araujo. Carmouche carries a 13-7-0 record and brings consistent physical pressure to her bouts, averaging 2.57 takedowns per 15 minutes and connecting on 54 percent of her significant strikes. He also averages 4.77 takedowns per 15 minutes but carries no submission attempts in his statistical profile, a contrast that proved costly against Magomedsharipov's ground game.
Rob Wilkinson rounded out the main card results with a second-round TKO stoppage of Abraham Bably.
