Josh Emmett has fallen out of the UFC media featherweight rankings in the latest update. Patricio Pitbull has returned to the list in his place, entering at No. 15.
The UFC featherweight media rankings have shifted, with Patricio "Pitbull" Freire re-entering the top 15 at number 15 while Josh Emmett drops off the list entirely in the latest June 2026 update.

Freire, 38, brings a 37-9-0 record to his return to the rankings. The Brazilian veteran out of Pitbull Brothers has long been one of the most decorated fighters at 145 pounds, earning his reputation across multiple promotions. Standing five-foot-six with a 67-inch reach, he fights out of an orthodox stance and lands 2.68 significant strikes per minute at a 43 percent accuracy rate, while also contributing 1.49 takedowns per 15 minutes.
Emmett, 41, slides off the list after compiling a 19-7-0 record across his UFC career. The Team Alpha Male product out of the United States stands five-foot-six with a 70-inch reach and has shown consistent offensive output, landing 3.67 significant strikes per minute. Despite that volume, his 35 percent striking accuracy reflects a high-pressure style built on power rather than precision.

Why it matters
- Freire's return to the media rankings signals renewed recognition of his standing in a loaded featherweight division
- Emmett's exit opens a slot that could shift the picture for other contenders just outside the top 15
- The two fighters share the same height but contrast in style, with Freire mixing striking and takedowns against Emmett's pure volume-striking approach
- Rankings movement at featherweight carries added weight with the division's title picture remaining competitive
