Light heavyweight Johnny Walker discussed his plans to transition to the heavyweight division in a recent interview. Walker mentioned that he has trained and sparred with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, and even while on a diet with approximately 20 kg less weight, he was able to work comfortably with the heavyweight. Walker explained that he would feel much better at heavyweight because cutting weight negatively impacts his training, causing dizziness and low energy due to insufficient carbohydrates. The Brazilian fighter believes competing at a higher weight class would allow him to train more effectively without the constraints of weight cutting.
