Coria, who stands five-foot-eight with a 67-inch reach, improved to 12-3-0 overall with the win. The 28-year-old orthodox striker has looked increasingly sharp inside the octagon, averaging 4.69 significant strikes per minute at a 44 percent accuracy rate. He also contributes on the ground, posting 1.75 takedowns per 15 minutes, making him a well-rounded threat across all phases.

Standing across from him was Stewart "Kakamora" Nicoll, the 30-year-old Australian out of Broz Martial Arts. Nicoll entered the contest at 8-3-0, fighting out of an orthodox stance with a five-foot-five frame and a 65-inch reach. He averages 3.63 significant strikes per minute, though his 39 percent striking accuracy left him at a statistical disadvantage against the sharper-handed Coria. Nicoll has shown a takedown threat of his own at 1.63 per 15 minutes, but was unable to do enough over the course of the fight to sway the judges.

Why it matters

  • Coria's continued unbeaten run in the UFC strengthens his case for a ranked position in his division
  • The performance further establishes him as one of the more well-rounded prospects in the promotion, mixing striking volume with takedown output
  • For Nicoll, the loss drops him to 8-3-0 and may complicate his path forward on the UFC roster
