Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has stepped in front of the camera in a new capacity, starring in and producing the action film "King Atlas," which arrived in 2026 with a notable roster of combat sports talent filling out its cast.

Bisping, 47, plays Atlas King, a retired MMA fighter drawn back into a dangerous criminal underworld as he fights to keep his godson safe. The England-born fighter and broadcaster carries the project both as its lead and as a producer, adding a behind-the-camera role to complement his performance. His own son also appears in the film, portraying a character known as Bear. The movie was directed by Nika Agiashvili.

The 30-9 veteran, nicknamed "The Count," brought a legitimate fighting pedigree to the role. During his UFC career he averaged 4.33 significant strikes landed per minute and remains one of the most recognizable names the sport has produced.

Bisping is joined by several other fighters with real octagon experience. Giga Chikadze, the 37-year-old Georgian featherweight known as "Ninja" who carries a 15-6 record and a striking accuracy of 42 percent, appears alongside fellow UFC veteran Jake Ellenberger and kickboxer-turned-fighter James Muntasri. Satoshi Ishii, the 39-year-old Japanese grappling specialist with a professional record of 15-8-1 and an impressive 3.47 takedowns per 15 minutes during his career, also features in the film, as does Yoko Hamamura.
