UFC 330 is set to deliver a double-title-fight main card in Las Vegas on August 15, with welterweight champion Islam Makhachev defending his belt against Ian Machado Garry in the main event and strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern putting her title on the line against Gillian Robertson in the co-main event.

Makhachev enters the main event as the pound-for-pound king and the welterweight champion, carrying a record of 28-1. The 34-year-old Russian, who trains out of Eagles MMA, stands five-foot-ten with a 70-inch reach and fights out of a southpaw stance. He is a well-rounded threat, averaging 3.2 takedowns per 15 minutes and landing 58 percent of his significant strikes — elite efficiency by any measure.

Dern's first defense of the strawweight title comes against Canada's Gillian Robertson, ranked fifth in the division at 17-8. The 31-year-old Robertson, who trains at The Goat Shed Academy, has built her reputation as a submission threat, averaging 0.9 submission attempts per 15 minutes while also adding a grappling dimension through 2.76 takedowns per 15 minutes. She will look to exploit any opening on the ground against the new champion.

The remainder of the main card features Edson Barboza taking on Esteban "El Gringo" Ribovics. The 30-year-old Argentine from Kill Cliff FC is 15-3 and brings relentless volume, landing 8.09 significant strikes per minute — one of the higher output rates in the organization. Charles Johnson and Jose Ochoa meet in another main-card bout, as do Mansur Abdul-Malik and Dustin Stoltzfus.

Why it matters
- Makhachev's welterweight title reign faces its next serious test as he squares off with the unbeaten Garry in a matchup of contrasting styles
- Robertson's grappling credentials make her a legitimate threat to Dern's first title defense, with the ground game likely to decide the co-main event
- Ribovics's high strike volume sets up a striking spectacle against the experienced Barboza on the underside of the main card
